Lens designThe Gaussian optical system, which uses six elements in five groups, produces stunning image quality and natural-looking background blur. Focusing is possible as close as 0.5m. The lens is suitable for a variety of subjects, from still lifes and faces to landscapes. By using the reverse tilt-shift method to vary the depth of field, the photographer can achieve unique images that would not be possible with conventional lenses.

Various movementsThe TS-E 90mm f/2.8 allows the photographer to control depth of field and perspective with ±8° tilt, ±11mm shift and ±90° rotation. Additionally, the tilt and shift mechanism features locks to help prevent unwanted movement.

Super Spectra coatingSuper Spectra coating ensures accurate color balance and enhances contrast. It also reduces flare and ghosting, a common problem caused by light reflecting off the camera sensor.
