Lens design The Gaussian optical system, which uses six elements in five groups, produces stunning image quality and natural-looking background blur. Focusing is possible as close as 0.5m. The lens is suitable for a variety of subjects, from still lifes and faces to landscapes. Using the reverse tilt-shift method to vary the depth of field, photographers can achieve unique images that would not be possible with conventional lenses.

Various movements The TS-E 90mm f/2.8 allows the photographer to control depth of field and perspective with ±8° tilt, ±11mm shift and ±90° rotation. Additionally, the tilt and shift mechanism features locks to help prevent unwanted movement.

Super Spectra coating Super Spectra coating ensures accurate color balance and enhances contrast. It also reduces flare and ghosting – a common problem caused by light reflected from the camera sensor.
