Great images at high shutter speeds and in twilight

Larger pixels on the sensor allow for a higher signal-to-noise ratio, allowing for more detail in textures and shadow areas. Noise is particularly effectively reduced at medium and high ISO speeds, which are needed for close-up moving or poorly lit subjects. The standard ISO range of ISO100-51200 is expandable to ISO50-20480013.

The α7C's 5-axis optical image stabilizer compensates for 5 types of camera shake, while maintaining image quality even when shooting without a gimbal or at night. These types are [1, 2] angular shake (pitch and tilt) that occurs when using a telephoto lens, [3, 4] shift (X and Y axes) that occurs as magnification increases, and [5] yaw shake (rotation in the Z axis) that affects night shots and videos.

The α7C's side-opening vari-angle monitor allows for easy viewing, even when a microphone is attached, a gimbal is used, or when shooting from a variety of positions.
