Nikon Z9 + NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR
Nikon Z 9, (Z9) housing
Nikon Z9 is a professional camera that offers speed, image quality and connectivity. This camera features a newly developed sensor, an advanced AF (autofocus) system and high-definition 8K video recording. Nikon's first flagship mirrorless camera, the Z9 stands out as a camera that appeals to photographers and filmmakers working in a variety of fields.
45.7MP layered BSI CMOS sensor
At the heart of the Z9 is a newly developed FX-format 45.7MP BSI stacked CMOS sensor. Its stacked construction ensures fast scan speeds and helps reduce shutter lag, while the BSI design delivers impressive clarity and minimal noise at higher sensitivities. 45.7MP resolution is also useful for landscapes, portraits and other detail-intensive genres, and allows for video recording at up to 8K resolution. The full-frame BSI design is also known for its exceptional color and detail reproduction, and this sensor offers a native ISO range of 64 to 25600, expandable to ISO 32-102400.
EXPEED 7 image processor
The sensor is complemented by the advanced EXPEED 7 processing system, which offers approximately 10 times the speed of the Z 7II. This system works in conjunction with the layered sensor design to achieve impressively fast AF speed, burst speed, large buffer capacity, smooth video recording and quick overall operation.
Maximum continuous shooting speed is 20 fps when shooting RAW, 30 fps when shooting JPEG, and an impressive 120 fps when recording 11-megapixel photos, all speeds support full AF/AE. The ability to store over 1,000 RAW images per burst means that RAW photo sequences can be recorded continuously for around 50 seconds.
Electronic lock provides a maximum shutter speed of 1/32,000s, so you can work in the brightest conditions with wider aperture settings. The sensor's layered construction reduces roller shutter distortion, so fast-moving objects such as a golf club, tennis racket or baseball bat do not appear distorted at shutter speeds up to 1/32,000 sec.
AF calculations are performed At 120 frames per second to catch up with the high speed of continuous shooting.
New high quality RAW file format retains image quality similar to uncompressed RAW files, but file sizes are approximately 30% smaller for faster read/write to the memory card.
Electronic lock design
Relying on the sensor's speed and sophisticated design, the Z9 completely abandons the mechanical shutter and uses only an electronic shutter for all shooting modes. The sensor's speed reaches up to 1/32,000 sec, and the layered structure reduces motion blur to accurately capture fast-moving subjects such as golf clubs, baseball bats, and cars. Additionally, despite the lack of a mechanical shutter, flash sync up to 1/200 sec. is still supported, as are high-speed sync functions.
By eliminating the mechanical shutter, the Z9 can also operate completely silently, without worrying about mechanical shutter wear or failure. A shutter release sound can be added to let you know when a photo has been taken, and the volume can be adjusted for different working situations.
Fast and smart AF
493-point phase-detection AF
Covering the entire sensor area, the Z9 uses a 493-point phase-detection AF system for fast and accurate focusing. This system utilizes a high-speed Z-link connection and sensor speed, allowing AF scan rates of up to 120 frames per second. This focusing system also supports low-light performance with Starlight mode, allowing focusing down to -8.5EV, which is very useful for astrophotography, concerts, and other night photography applications.
Object recognition using deep learning technology
Using a new algorithm and deep learning technology, the automatic subject recognition system can now recognize nine different types of objects, from people to animals, airplanes and bicycles. With Auto-Area AF, these objects will be automatically recognized, focused and tracked to ensure sharp focus, kai as the subject moves through the frame. In particular, Eye Detection AF has been improved to better recognize akis in the scene, no matter how small or large they are in the frame.
Z9 also introduced 3D tracking mode Nikon in the mirrorless camera. This popular Nikon DSLR focus mode combines with subject recognition capabilities to capture fast and unpredictable moving subjects that move parallel and perpendicular to the camera axis. In addition, there are three Dynamic-Area AF modes with different focus area sizes to capture a wider range of moving subjects.
8K and 4K video recording. Recording up to 8K is supported
In keeping with its high-end camera features, the Z9 is also the most powerful Nikon video camera, offering a range of resolutions and frame rates up to 8K. Using full pixel scanning, UHD 8K 30p video can be recorded with continuous shooting for approximately 2 hours 5 minutes.
Full-frame 4K recording up to 120p is also available for slow motion video playback. With the 8K Zone, UHD 4K to 30p can be recorded for enhanced sharpness and detail. Additionally, high-resolution frame grabbers can record from 8K and 4K videos to create 33MP or 11MP photos, respectively.
ProRes and H.265 10-bitų internal recording
ProRes 422 HQ and H.265 codecs support internal recording with 10-bitų color and 4:2:2 sampling, while H.264 and 4:2:0 color can be used depending on the needs of the workflow. For more flexible color correction afterwards, there is also 10-bitų N-Log setting and flat color profile. In addition, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) can be used to create HDR-ready content directly from the camera.
Professional body design. Real-time viewfinder
The Real-time Viewfinder is an advanced EVF that uses a 3.69m dot OLED panel with adjustable brightness up to 3000 cd/m2 to ensure clear visibility in bright conditions. This EVF also works in conjunction with dual-stream technology to ensure a clear view during continuous shooting.
Four-axis tilting LCD
For the first time, Nikon Z9 features a 3.2-inch 2.1m pixel four-axis tilting touchscreen, which better supports high and low angle operation, whether shooting horizontally or vertically. The four-way tilting design of this screen makes it easier to view from different positions, and the orientation of the user interface also changes depending on how the camera is held.
Strong, durable construction
Two CFexpress Type B memory card slots allow for flexible file storage and promote fast read and write speeds to keep up with fast continuous shooting and high-resolution 8K video recording. Both slots are also compatible with XQD memory cards.
Optimized for professional work, the Z9 features an ergonomic shape and a vertical mount that allows you to easily switch between landscape and portrait shooting orientations.
Universal connection
With professional build quality, Z9 has a wide range of connections to meet various workflow needs:
