Zoom in with zoom lenses while filming! Nikon Z8 can simulate the optical zoom of 2x in-camera and in real time. The image does not deteriorate and you can program three different zoom speeds.

12-BIT N-RAW AND PRORES RAW VIDEO RECORDING

Internal 12-bit raw recording up to 8,3K 60p in N-RAW format is supported, along with internal ProRES RAW HQ. Raw recording offers greater tonal and color breadth and can improve dynamic range, improving color grading needs and post-production flexibility. N-RAW is a Nikon raw recording format that offers impressively small file sizes compared to other raw formats, as well as the ability to create MP4 proxies for more efficient viewing or transfer. N-RAW recording up to 8,3K 60p or 24p is available; 4,1K to 120p; 5,3K to 60p with 1,5x cropping; and 3,8K at 120p with 2,3x cropping. ProRes RAW recording is also available up to 4,1K and 60p.z

VERTICAL BATTERY HANDLE

You can use the Nikon MB-N12 battery grip for vertical shooting or as a counterweight for telephoto lenses, as well as for longer all-day shooting. You can extend the operating time by up to 1.8 times by using two EN-EL 15c batteries in the grip, and you can hot-swap the batteries. You can also use this grip as a dual battery charger, kai it is not connected to the camera.
