The EOS R6 V is a video-focused evolution of the Canon R6 series, built around a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor and DIGIC X processor. It is aimed at filmmakers, content creators and hybrid photographers who require high-quality stills combined with advanced video recording. The camera emphasizes video production, with features such as internal 7K RAW recording, processed 4K output and high-frame rate slow-motion up to 4K 120p and 2K 180p. It supports open 3:2 format recording for flexible post-production editing, and delivers high dynamic range suitable for professional color correction.

Unlike traditional hybrid cameras, the R6 V eliminates the optical viewfinder and mechanical shutter mechanism to prioritize a compact, heat-efficient design. It features an active cooling system for extended recording, a vari-angle screen with vertical interface for social media work, and multiple mounting points for flexible tripod use in both horizontal and vertical positions. It is especially suitable for solo creators, studios, live streaming, and field video recording.
