Imagine being able to shoot handheld with shutter speeds of up to four seconds, without a tripod, to blur water in a landscape shot or people in motion in a street shot. That's the kind of creative freedom you can expect from the EOS R6.

A built-in five-axis image stabilizer provides up to 8 stops of protection against camera shake. And when RF lenses with optical image stabilization (except the RF 600MM F11 IS STM or RF 800MM F11 IS STM) are attached to the camera, the two systems combine to achieve up to 8 stops of stabilization. 2

The image stabilization systems built into the camera body and lens also stabilize video, as a third system - Movie Digital IS - provides another level of stabilization and professional-looking results.

The world's fastest AF reliably tracks subjects4

The EOS R6's Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system is powered by the DIGIC X processor, which uses deep learning AI for advanced subject recognition and tracking. Eyes, faces and heads are recognized with unprecedented accuracy. The camera can also recognize cats, dogs and birds, helping to keep moving subjects in sharp focus, one of the most challenging aspects of photographing wildlife and pets.

We wanted nothing to get in the way of your creative breakthrough, so the EOS R6 was designed for instinctive control and the best possible connectivity.

Electronic viewfinder

The excellent 3.69 million-dot electronic viewfinder, which can be updated at up to 120 fps, is complemented by a vari-angle touchscreen that can be folded away from the camera body and rotated 270˚ to allow you to shoot from unexpected angles.

Dual memory card slots

Dual card slots allow you to record RAW and JPEG/HEIF files separately, or even stills separately from video, and they support the latest UHS-II standards for fast write and read speeds. With intuitive controls on the back of the camera - such as the AF lever and rear control dials - the EOS R6 is truly instinctive to operate.
