The 28mm angle of view was a representative wide angle in the film camera era and has attracted many fans even today. In response to the request of many photographers who have expressed great interest in using the familiar quality of 28mm with the Art line, SIGMA has produced the SIGMA 28mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art, based on the knowledge gained from the development of the Art F1.4 prime lens series released so far. Now available from the SIGMA Art line.

Best in class

This lens features two FLD (F-type low dispersion) glass elements and three SLD (special low dispersion) glass elements. In addition, it effectively deploys three aspherical lenses, including a large-diameter aspherical lens, to thoroughly correct the chromatic aberration of magnification, which is particularly noticeable in wide-angle lenses. This ensures high resolution across the entire sensor, while sagittal coma flare is carefully corrected, and distortion is also minimized. Excellent performance is achieved in street photography, as well as in landscape and night sky photography.

Designed to meet all shooting conditions

A water and oil-repellent coating on the front lens element, combined with a dust and splash-proof construction*, ensures excellent performance even in the most challenging shooting conditions. High-speed AF is achieved thanks to the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) with an updated algorithm that captures the instant movement of the shot.

Dust and splash-proof design*

This lens features a highly effective dust and splash-proof structure* with special sealing at the mount, manual focus ring and cap joint, allowing photographers to work in all weather conditions.

* While this design allows the lens to be used in light rain, it is not the same as being waterproof.
