MIKROTIK Cloud Router Switch FiberBox Plus

The FiberBox Plus offers two perspectives. On the one hand, it is a significant upgrade compared to previous FiberBox devices. This model has a modern ARM processor, more RAM and four 10-Gigabit SFP+ ports. This is a fast and reliable connection at an affordable price, without Ethernet distance limitations. There is also a Gigabit Ethernet port that can be used for management or PoE-in power. In addition, there is a 2-pin terminal and a standard DC power socket, so three different power supply options are possible. The FiberBox Plus supports a wide input voltage range from 24 to 57 V. And it is exceptionally efficient - the maximum power consumption (without additional accessories) is only 7 W.

On the other hand, the FiberBox Plus can be considered a more economical version of the netFiber 9. If you do not need additional Gigabit SFP ports, this model offers significant savings. The FiberBox Plus also features the same impressive Marvell 98DX226S connector chip, so performance remains at the highest level.

This rugged outdoor switch is perfect for connecting equipment on poles, such as the mANTBox 52 or LHG XL 52. Imagine a large campsite with several guest houses, a food court and the owner's house. With FiberBox Plus you can connect all locations. One of the fiber optic connections can be used to connect the mANTBox base station, ensuring a common connection for guests. The other connection is for the owner's house. The third is for the food court, for example, to connect payment and inventory servers.

Normally, you would need a protective box to keep your equipment safe, but the FiberBox Plus has a solid IP66 waterproof rating. This means it is protected against strong jets of water from any direction. So, in a camping scenario, your equipment will be protected not only from extreme weather conditions, but also from kids with garden hoses. It is also perfect for damp basements, elevator shafts, port infrastructure and many other use cases. With the FiberBox Plus, you can have complete peace of mind about the security of your network.
