MikroTik universal sensor with local data processing

The TG-LR82 combines environmental and motion monitoring with integrated data processing. High-precision temperature measurement makes the TG-LR82 particularly effective at monitoring temperature-sensitive goods and environments. The device can generate averages or histograms of temperature and humidity before transmitting telemetry data. This reduces network load while preserving important information about environmental conditions.

Automation: the sensor reacts when conditions change

The TG-LR82 supports multiple configuration profiles and event-based rules, allowing the device to automatically adapt to changing conditions. This allows for the creation of advanced monitoring scenarios without complex server-side logic.

The TG-LR82 supports flexible configuration via LoRaWAN downlink commands. Data packets can be generated using a dedicated configuration tool or integrated with platforms such as The Things Network (TTN).

2.4 GHz flexibility for LoRa networks

The TG-LR82 also supports 2.4 GHz LoRa, allowing the solution to be used without regional frequency restrictions. Unlike sub-GHz LoRa bands, which are region-specific, 2.4 GHz LoRa can be used worldwide without frequency change.

A typical operating range can be up to 1.5 km, depending on the gateway antenna and environmental conditions. This is a particularly practical solution for mobile assets such as container ships or international logistics systems.

Similar principles can be applied in other monitoring scenarios:

  • for monitoring temperature or humidity limits,

  • for impact or free fall detection,

  • for orientation or tilt monitoring,

  • for tracking equipment and asset activity, etc.

The integrated magnetic reed switch allows you to detect the opening of doors or covers and perform simple interactions with the device using a magnet.

From cold supply chains and warehouses to logistics and environmental research, the TG-LR82 can be applied in many areas.

Works with your monitoring infrastructure

TG-LR82 sensor data can be visualized and analyzed using modern monitoring platforms such as Grafana. With MikroTik RouterOS container support, Grafana dashboards can be quickly deployed, providing real-time telemetry visualization and historical data analysis.

Examples of telemetry:

  • temperature and humidity trends,

  • orientation and activity states,

  • environmental histogram analysis,

  • battery status and signal strength.
