Zebra's ZT400 series printers are designed for ease of use. They feature a multi-line, character-based 4.3-inch color touchscreen or black and white LCD display and clearly laid out function keys. They promise professional printing on production lines, packaging and shipping labels, in stores and in healthcare settings. The industrial-grade metal-framed housing houses a highly advanced direct thermal and thermal transfer printing unit that delivers high label output with incredible print speeds. At up to 356 mm per second, the ZT411 is one of the best in its class. The larger ZT421 also boasts impressive speeds of up to 305 mm per second.

The ZT400 series printers print labels and tags from 25-114 mm (ZT411) or 51-178 mm (ZT421) widths. The flip-up lid makes loading and changing media easy. The large viewing window always shows you how much material is left. Printhead failure detection and recording of the printhead serial number, time stamp and odometer provide additional security. In low light conditions, illuminated media and ribbon paths provide sufficient light inside the printer for users to make necessary adjustments. The printers also feature adjustable, transmissive and reflective sensors.
