FiberPoE allows for separation of power supply from standard Ethernet cables or a standard block of power terminals/cables. There are three ways to configure input and output power.
The use of fiber optic cable for data transmission significantly reduces failures from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). Data integrity is also maintained for transmissions above 100 meters, which is a limitation for Ethernet networks via twisted-pair.
