Victron GX IO-Extender 150 USB I/O expansion module

Simple I/O expansion via USB

GX IO-Extender 150 connects directly to GX devices via USB port, which also powers the device - no additional power supply required, simplifies installation and reduces costs.

Versatile inputs and outputs

Offers 8 configurable digital inputs/outputs, 4 PWM channels for controlling fans or lighting, and 3 relays (SSR and bistable), enabling flexible control and automation of systems.

Integration with the Victron ecosystem

Full support via Node-RED and the Switch interface in GX devices allows you to create your own control scenarios and advanced operating logic for the entire energy system.

Main features:

  • Universal GX compatibility (Cerbo GX, Venus GX, etc.)

  • Powered directly from USB (typical consumption ~100 mW)

  • Built-in LEDs for each input/output

  • 4 PWM channels (8-bit, 5V, 1.6 kHz)

  • Ability to program logic in Node-RED

  • Support via the Switch interface in GX OS

Expansion of GX system inputs and outputs

The device adds 8 digital inputs/outputs, 4 PWM channels and 3 relays (SSR and bistable), significantly increasing the possibilities of integrating Victron systems with additional sensors, switches, fans or lighting.

Power and communication via USB

A simple USB connection provides both power and communication to the GX device, eliminating the need for additional power cables. Typical power consumption of less than 100 mW allows for economical operation even in power-constrained systems.

Galvanic isolation of inputs/outputs

Each digital input and output is galvanically isolated, which increases the security of the entire system and protects the device against damage caused by overvoltages or electrical interference in the installation.

Control and automation via Node-RED

Thanks to integration with Node-RED, the user can create advanced automation scenarios without the need for programming – e.g. temperature-dependent ventilation control, lighting management or monitoring additional sensors.

Built-in SSR and bistable relays

Two bistable relays (3A/30V DC) enable switching circuits with minimal power consumption in the hold mode, while the SSR solid-state relay (4A/70V DC) enables fast, contactless control of higher-power DC loads.

Compact and versatile mounting housing

Small dimensions (123×67×23 mm) and the possibility of mounting on a wall or on a DIN rail (with an adapter) allow easy installation even in limited spaces of mobile, marine and stationary systems.
