The Cyrix-Li-Charge is an innovative switch designed to safely and efficiently manage the charging of LiFePO4 batteries. The device works in conjunction with an external BMS system, such as a VE.Bus BMS or smallBMS, to ensure optimal protection of the battery cells. Thanks to microprocessor control, the Cyrix-Li-Charge manages the charging process automatically, reacting to changes in battery voltage and temperature.
Automatic charger connection and disconnection
The Cyrix-Li-Charge starts the charger after a 3-second delay if it detects the appropriate conditions: the charger voltage is at least 13.0V (or 26.0V or 52.0V, respectively) and the battery voltage is above 2V. When the BMS detects an overvoltage or cell overheating, Cyrix immediately disconnects the charger to ensure battery safety. Once the situation has been resolved, Cyrix will automatically reconnect the charger after 3 seconds.
Safe energy management
Cyrix-Li-Charge offers complete control over the charging process, protecting the battery from overvoltage and overvoltage, as well as monitoring cell temperature. The device checks if the charger is still active and will automatically shut off charging after one hour if no active charger activity is detected.
