CTK FoilFix 200 - self-adhesive aluminum foil for sealing technological holes 50 × 70 cm CTK FoilFix 200 This rigid, self-adhesive 200µm aluminum foil is designed to close and seal process holes in car body components. It is most often used as the first, structural layer when soundproofing car doors, trunk lids, and other large body surfaces. The foil is made of aluminum and equipped with a strong Henkel acrylic adhesive, which, when properly installed, creates a stable base for aluminum-butyl mats. This solution effectively stiffens the door cavity surface without the need for additional metal flat bars or other reinforcing elements. Improved door stiffness and speaker performance. When installing a car audio system, the door cavity plays a crucial role. Once the process holes are closed, it becomes a more stable enclosure for mid-woofers. Applying CTK FoilFix 200 under a sound-absorbing mat improves the rigidity of the entire door surface, reduces unwanted vibrations, and positively impacts sound quality. This can result in better bass control, faster door woofer response, and a more streamlined audio system. The foil is particularly effective where large process openings require a solid and durable seal before applying the sound-absorbing mat. CTK FoilFix 200 Applications: The product can be used for, among other things:
CTK FoilFix 200 can be used both as a structural base for a soundproofing mat and as an additional layer increasing the stiffness of the surface. Key advantages
Installing CTK FoilFix 200: Before installation, clean, degrease, and dry the surface. It's best to cut the foil to the appropriate shape, leaving a few centimeters of excess to allow for secure adhesion around the edges of the sealed technological opening. It can be helpful to place the sheet with the adhesive backing paper over the opening and gently press its shape, for example, with a roller for mounting mats. Then, cut out the appropriate section, peel off the protective layer, and thoroughly adhere the foil to the surface. Press firmly on the edges to ensure a permanent bond. After sealing the technological openings with CTK FoilFix 200, you can proceed to installing the aluminum-butyl mats to the entire prepared surface of the door or other body element. Important information: CTK FoilFix 200 is a product intended for one-time installation. Attempting to remove an already adhered section may damage or delaminate the adhesive layer. For this reason, it's worth carefully aligning and testing the cut element before applying the adhesive. Basic parameters
