Is the battery compatible if it has a different capacity?

Yes!

If the other technical specifications, such as voltage and connectors, match, the battery is compatible. Battery capacity is measured in milliampere-hours (mAh). If the replacement battery has a higher capacity than the original battery, it provides a longer runtime. If the capacity is only slightly higher or lower, there will be no significant change in runtime. You can use compatible batteries with different capacities.

Advanced lithium-ion cells for optimal device performance

Lithium-ion batteries are among the highest-performing rechargeable batteries. Compared with NiMH batteries, for example, they feature low self-discharge and a higher energy content. They have no memory effect and require little maintenance, as they do not need regular discharging. When stored correctly, Li-Ion batteries have a long service life thanks to their durability and high number of possible charging cycles.

Lithium-ion batteries are used in mobile devices with high energy requirements, such as smartphones, laptops, cameras and power tools. They are also used in radio-controlled models and photovoltaic systems.
