Ubiquiti U7 Pro Max is a Wi-Fi 7 network access point designed to work in the UniFi system. It supports the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, making it suitable for locations with heavy network traffic. In practice, this means higher throughput, less congestion and better support for multiple devices at the same time.
The device supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be standards in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in 5 GHz and IEEE 802.11b in 6 GHz. Maximum theoretical throughput is 688 Mbps, 8648 Mbps and 5765 Mbps respectively. These parameters support operation where many computers, phones and terminals are active at the same time.
The use of 320MHz channels and 4096QAM modulation increases transmission capabilities compared with the Wi-Fi 6E standard. In practice, the device handles heavy network traffic better and reduces performance drops during peak hours. The MLO function additionally uses all three bands simultaneously, improving connection smoothness.
The access point operates under UniFi software, which brings the configuration of multiple devices together in one application. As a result, updating, changing hotspot settings or monitoring the network can all be done from a single panel instead of several separate tools. The system also supports hotspot solutions and monitoring from the Protect series.
The model is equipped with 1 2.5G Ethernet port with a throughput of 1000 / 2500 Mbps, which also serves as the PoE+ power input. Maximum power consumption is 22W, so the device requires a power supply compliant with the 802.3at standard or a suitable switch. The power supply is not included.
The built-in integrated omnidirectional antennas offer a gain of 4 dBi at 2.4 GHz, 6 dBi at 5 GHz and 5.9 dBi at 6 GHz. The manufacturer states coverage of up to 160 m2, which works well in offices, meeting rooms and larger service areas. Actual range depends on the number of walls, furniture and radio interference.
The housing is designed for ceiling, wall or flush-mounted electrical box installation. The set includes a mounting bracket as well as screws and wall plugs, which simplifies installation in typical access point locations in offices, service premises and public spaces. This mounting method makes it easier to route the network neatly without taking up space on a desk or shelf.
