The S-Cinetone picture profile creates cinematic colors, skin tones, and other visual aspects directly in the camera, without editing the colors of the footage.

Endless expression possibilities with "S-Log3"

In order to match colors and utilize the full capabilities of the image sensor when filming with the FX30, the "S-Log3" gamma color curve is used. It allows you to take advantage of the wide color gamut and 14+ latitude of the FX30 to achieve true cinematic image quality when processing footage.

User LUT provides accurate image preview

Customizable preset and user-supplied LUTs can be applied to the FX30 LCD and HDMI output to better and more accurately understand how the final image will look.

10-bit 4:2:2 recording for more extensive editing

The FX30 can record 10-bit 4:2:2 images when using Long GOP or All-Intra compression, conveying more color information and creating fuller, more natural color gradations in footage.

Flexible exposure mode control

"Cine EI"2 provides great latitude and the highest possible image quality, while "Cine EI Quick"2 simplifies setup by automatically switching the camera's base ISO. "Flexible ISO" provides the greatest flexibility in choosing shutter settings.

Wide-area AF ensures accurate subject tracking across almost the entire frame using the Real-time Tracking function, which is based on the "Sony's unique AI-based sub-pixel recognition.
