The white card allows you to quickly and easily perform manual white balance, thus avoiding unwanted color casts.
The grey card also enables correct exposure metering. It reflects approximately 18% of the incident light.
The black card is used to block stray light. It prevents overexposure and ensures perfect light balance when shooting outdoors.
