The lens construction consists of 9 elements in 6 groups (including two aspherical elements), achieving an excellent balance between high image quality and compact size. The lens has the smallest diameter in its series, and thanks to the internal focusing system and stepping motor, it achieves an autofocus time of just 0.08 sek*2. The lens exterior is weather and dust resistant, and can operate at temperatures down to -10°C. The lens is ideal for any scene and application. It is a new standard for all photography enthusiasts.

The exterior of the lens is made of all-metal parts to ensure durability in a variety of shooting situations. The texture of the metal parts further enhances the shooting experience and ensures that the lens can be operated easily and precisely with wet or gloved hands. The lens has a weather and dust-resistant structure with eight seals on the lens barrel, protecting the lens from rain, dust, and splashes of water when shooting outdoors. It can also operate in temperatures as low as -10°C.

Two types of lens hood

Lens hoods block out unwanted light to maintain maximum optical performance. There are two types of lens hoods available for the XF35mmF2 R WR. A lightweight and compact round lens hood is supplied with it, while the classic and stylish metal hood LH-XF35-2 is available as an optional accessory.
