• The Z fc is a DX-format mirrorless camera with a 20.9 MP CMOS sensor, which, together with EXPEED 6 image processing, enables fast shooting at up to 11 frames per second, UHD 4K video recording at 30p, and sensitivity up to ISO 51200.
• With a classic look, this camera is updated for modern content creation, features a fully articulating touchscreen LCD, supports live streaming, is compatible with external microphones, and has an advanced 209-point AF system with continuous subject tracking and eye-detection AF.
• Focusing on physical design, the Z fc stands out as a clear reference to Nikon's heritage of classic SLR film cameras and features several familiar physical controls on the body, including dedicated dials for adjusting ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation.
• The body also features a 2.36m-dot OLED EVF and supports SnapBridge wireless connectivity for pairing with a mobile device for remote camera control. 20.9 MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 6 image processor

A DX-format 20.9MP CMOS sensor is paired with the EXPEED 6 image processor to create a versatile combination of high sensitivity, nuanced image quality and fast overall performance. At native values, a sensitivity range of 100 to 51,200 allows for a wide range of lighting conditions, and can be further expanded to ISO 204800 for extremely low light. The resolution and sensor size also ensure clean image quality and smooth color gradation with reduced noise throughout the sensitivity range. The EXPEED 6 processor not only improves image quality, but also ensures high speed throughout the camera system, including a maximum full-resolution continuous shooting speed of 11 fps. In addition to image acquisition, the sensor design also features a 209-point hybrid autofocus system that uses both phase and contrast detection methods to achieve fast and accurate focus for both stills and video. This focusing system also supports Eye Detection AF, which uses facial recognition to help capture a subject's eyes.

UHD 4K video recording

Capable of recording more than just stills, the Z fc supports UHD 4K video recording at up to 30 frames per second and Full HD recording at up to 120 frames per second for slow-motion effects, as well as the ability to save movie files to the camera's memory card. It's also possible to shoot time-lapse photos in the camera.

Heritage design with intuitive features

Precisely carved aluminum dials with engraved markings and mechanical controls for shutter speed, ISO and exposure compensation. Intuitive features also allow easy access to auto mode, quick settings and a menu help guide.

Case design and connectivity

• The 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder provides comfortable eye-level viewing. It has 1.02x magnification and uses NIKKOR optics to ensure a sharp, clear image.
• The rugged magnesium alloy exterior is dust and weather resistant for use in harsh climates and adverse conditions.
• Built-in SnapBridge connectivity allows for seamless transfer of low-resolution images and remote shooting. BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Wi-Fi enable communication between the camera and smart device, and the mobile device can also remotely trigger the shutter and display live view from the camera for remote work.
• Live streaming and web conferencing via a separately purchased USB Type-C cable.
