The Nikon Z 7II builds on the professional capabilities of the Z system camera platform, delivering higher image quality, greater dynamic range, faster speed, and a host of other improvements... everything you want in a high-end camera. Capture decisive fast-action images with 10fps continuous shooting and 3.3x more capacity than the Z 7 - in RAW or JPEG at full resolution with AE/AF tracking. UHD 4K video recording is available at up to 60p, while Full HD 1080p video recording is supported at up to 120p for slow-motion playback. Video files can be recorded to the camera's memory cards or as an uncompressed file to an optional external recorder via the HDMI output. The model features the ability to transmit high-quality 10-bit data via the HDMI connection and electronic VR for smooth handheld shooting. Focus Peaking can be used for manual focus control, while the Zebra Stripes option can help detect overexposed areas of the frame. Audio recording can be done using the built-in stereo microphone or an optional external microphone that connects via the 3.5mm jack.

The Z 7II builds on the system with a wide-area mode to determine the eye detection threshold. The Z 7II uses Nikon's highest-resolution CMOS sensor without an optical low-pass filter. When used with NIKKOR Z lenses, it produces some of the most detailed images imaginable. For the first time in a Nikon camera, the Z 7II features two EXPEED 6 image processors. They work together to process images faster, increase processing capacity, and achieve greater speed.
