Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S
600mm f/4. Integrated 1.4x teleconverter. Completely redesigned for the Z series.
600mm f/4 prime. A crucial lens, prized by motorsports, action and wildlife professionals for its reach, speed, sharpness and image quality. With a larger Z mount, Nikon has reimagined this lens for today's high-performance mirrorless cameras. Lighter. Faster. Sharper. And with a nifty trick up its sleeve: a built-in 1.4x teleconverter that transforms the lens into a powerful yet sharp 840mm f/5.6 zoom.

Meso Amorphous Coat
Meso Amorphous Coat* provides the highest anti-reflective performance in NIKKOR history. Meso Amorphous Coat provides an effect superior to Nano Crystal Coat for obliquely incident light, and an effect equivalent to or superior to ARNEO Coat for vertically incident light. The excellent performance significantly reduces ghosting and flare caused by incident light from various directions, ensuring clear images even in harsh conditions. * With this coating system, amorphous particles, which are even smaller than nanoparticles, are used to create even more gaps in the coating to form an ultra-fine mesoporous structure that achieves a lower refractive index. In addition, a higher-precision base layer is used to further enhance the reflection effect.
Nano Crystal Coat
Nikon's anti-reflective coating virtually eliminates internal reflections on the lens element at various wavelengths. Nano Crystal Coat eliminates ghosting caused by red light and effectively reduces ghosting and flare caused by light entering the lens obliquely.
Fluorine coat
Photographers need equipment that can withstand the elements. Nikon's fluorine coating effectively repels dust, water droplets, grease or dirt, ensuring easy removal even if they stick to the lens surface. Nikon's fluorine coating withstands extensive cleaning of the lens surface, and its anti-reflective effect also helps capture clear images.
Super ED glass
Nikon has also developed Super ED glass, which features even lower dispersion properties and extremely high efficiency in reducing secondary spectrum to further reduce chromatic aberration and other lens aberrations.
ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass
Nikon-developed optical glass used with conventional optical glass in telephoto lenses to optimally correct chromatic aberrations.
Short wavelength refractive lens
SR is a high-dispersion and specialized glass lens that refracts light at wavelengths shorter than blue. By controlling short-wavelength light, the lens can achieve highly accurate compensation for chromatic aberration, so that the colors of images are reproduced more accurately. It also allows for more flexible optical designs, which allows for the creation of compact, lighter lenses.
Silky Swift VCM
The Silky Swift VCM is used as the AF motor for NIKKOR Z lenses. This system simultaneously achieves higher speed, higher precision, and quieter operation. Each of these factors is far superior to conventional systems, and when it comes to “silence,” the sound of the drives is intensively suppressed to near-silent levels. Even heavy lenses can be precisely controlled at high speeds with minimal noise or vibration, allowing users to reliably capture sharply focused images. The ultra-quiet AF operation is particularly useful when shooting in quiet locations and when shooting movies. WARNING: Do not use this product if you have a pacemaker or other medical device. The magnet(s) in this product may interfere with the operation of medical devices.
Vibration reduction
Nikon lens technology that improves image stability by automatically compensating for camera shake. Lenses that feature VR will be marked with the abbreviation VR on the lens barrel.
IF lens
A NIKKOR lens in which only the inner lens group moves during focusing. Thus, IF NIKKORS do not change size during AF operation, allowing for compact, lightweight lenses that can shoot closer. These lenses will be marked with the abbreviation IF on the lens barrel.
Electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism
An electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism located in the lens barrel provides highly precise control of the electronic diaphragm or aperture blade when using automatic exposure during continuous shooting.
