Control the situation

The control ring, with its knurled surface, provides extremely precise and intuitive control. When shooting in AF mode, you can assign exposure compensation settings to the control ring. When shooting in manual focus mode, you can use the control ring as a focus ring. Focus shift is adjusted based on how quickly or slowly you turn the ring, giving you fine control over the focus point.
