A high performance telephoto zoom lens for FX format SLRs.

With a wide focal range of 80-400mm and an advanced optical design, this lens can be used to shoot a wide variety of subjects such as wildlife, landscapes and sporting events.

Nikon's vibration reduction system allows you to shoot with the shutter four stops slower, so images captured while holding the camera are sharp at any focal length. Four ED (Extremely Low Dispersion) and one Super ED glass element correct for chromatic aberration and optical color defects that occur at longer focal lengths.

• AF with teleconverter: AF works even with 1.4k attached. teleconverter to a camera that supports f/8.
• Focus limit switch: FULL and ∞-6m allow you to reduce the focus time when shooting at a certain distance.
• Lens barrel lock: (when the barrel is pushed to the 80mm position) ensures that the barrel does not elongate under its own weight when the lens is not in use.
• Removable tripod stand: included.
