Passive PoE Rack Mount Injector / Shielded Panel, 12 PoE ports

12 Power Over Ethernet (POE) ports DC Power Injector Injector/Splitter is a passive Power-over-Ethernet device that provides DC power for twelve devices. It is compatible with equipment supporting the standard PoE pin out (Pins 45 Power + / Pins 78 Power -). This POE injector comes with a standard metal rack mount case.

Power-over-Ethernet eliminates the need for an AC outlet at each end device location. Only a single Ethernet cable is run to each device instead of separate power and data cables. The injector is typically installed near the Ethernet hub and the splitter near the end device for non POE enabled devices in that the unit can be used as either an injector or as a splitter. When used as an injector the device sends DC power through the Ethernet cable to a remote PoE device. When used as a splitter this unit splits the injected DC power from the Ethernet cable for use by certain non-PoE devices.
