The mechanical connector allows for terminating single-mode optical fiber cables in approximately 30 seconds, without using expensive tools, while maintaining the accuracy necessary for proper installation.
The effects of possible inaccurate cuts are smoothed out with a special gel in the connection chamber.
Fast Connector can be used to terminate optical lines wherever traditional, industrially manufactured connectors are used, for example in building junction boxes.
