The TerraMaster D9-320 is a high-performance DAS enclosure equipped with 9 bays for 3.5" HDDs, 2.5" HDDs, and 2.5" SSDs, designed for storing large data sets and expanding storage capacity. Thanks to its USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, it offers data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gb/s, supports capacities of up to 216 TB, and is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Unraid, TrueNAS, and Proxmox. The design supports daisy-chaining multiple devices, and includes an intelligent cooling system. This solution is designed for both professionals working with 4K and 8K content and users building their own servers, data archives, or extensive multimedia libraries.

Up to 216 TB of storage space

The enclosure is equipped with nine independent bays that support the installation of SATA HDDs and SSDs. When using 24 TB drives, each bay provides up to 216 TB of storage for files, backups, video projects, or corporate archives. Such a large capacity makes the device ideal for graphic design studios, film production, server environments, and home multimedia centers. By default, each drive operates independently, and RAID configurations can be set up using external software.

Fast Data Transfer via USB 3.2 Gen 2

Thanks to the modern USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, the enclosure delivers a throughput of up to 10 Gb/s, allowing you to work comfortably even with very large files. In practice, the device achieves read speeds of up to 1016 MB/s and write speeds of up to 960 MB/s when using multiple SSDs simultaneously. These performance figures significantly speed up video copying, backups, and everyday work with large databases. The package includes two cables—USB-C to USB-C and USB-A to USB-C—allowing you to immediately connect the device to various computers and workstations.

Expanding Storage with the Daisy Chain Feature

The TerraMaster D9-320 is equipped with an additional 10 Gb/s USB Host port, which allows you to daisy-chain multiple storage devices. This solution makes it easy to expand available storage space without occupying additional ports on your computer. This is particularly useful in environments where the number of available ports is limited and the need for additional storage space is constantly growing. This allows users to flexibly expand their storage infrastructure as their needs grow.

Intelligent Power Management and Drive Protection

One of the standout features of the D9-320 model is its independent drive power supply system. Each bay has its own switch, allowing you to power down unused drives and reduce energy consumption. When a drive is powered down, the device automatically performs a safe disconnection, protecting the read/write heads and stored data from the effects of a sudden power loss. Additionally, the automatic sleep mode feature reduces drive operating time, minimizes wear and tear, and helps extend the lifespan of the entire system.

Quiet Operation and Effective Cooling

An advanced cooling system equipped with three fans and four temperature sensors maintains the proper temperature. The system continuously monitors operating conditions and automatically adjusts fan speed to the current load. As a result, the drives operate under optimal conditions even during intensive data transfers. With a noise level of just 22.5 dB(A), the device does not disrupt work in an office, studio, or home office.

Wide Compatibility and 24/7 Readiness

The enclosure is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as popular server and NAS platforms such as Unraid, TrueNAS, and Proxmox. It supports various file system formats, including NTFS, APFS, exFAT, FAT32, and EXT4, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with your existing infrastructure. The Power-On Recovery feature automatically restores the device's operation after a power outage, which is particularly important for server applications and unattended systems.
