Two XD (Extreme Dynamic) linear motors ensure fast, precise AF and reliable tracking. SEL600F40GM takes advantage of the best features of modern camera bodies and easily maintains precise focus on fast-moving athletes and animals. A specially designed control algorithm helps quickly position a large focus group with low lag and vibration.

New large XA element - good resolution and bokeh effect

The meticulous optical design of the G Master includes three fluorite elements - these suppress chromatic aberration, which can be a problem in telephoto lenses. There is also a large XA (extra aspherical) element that eliminates bokeh circles. Each lens is individually calibrated for the best balance between resolution and bokeh. Optional high-performance 1,4x and 2,0x telekonverteriai3 with XA elements are also available.
