Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary
The extremely elegant 56mm portrait-length prime lens f/1,4 DC DN belongs to the "Sigma" series of modern lenses and is designed for use with "Nikon Z" mirrorless cameras. The lens features a bright f/1,4 maximum aperture, which is suitable for working in difficult lighting conditions, and also allows for better control over depth of field for isolating objects and working with selective focus methods. The optical design uses two aspherical elements and one SLD element, which help reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations, making the lens brighter and clearer. A highly multi-layer coating has also been used to suppress flare and ghosting, to achieve higher contrast and color accuracy in bright lighting conditions. The optics are complemented by a stepping AF motor, which, due to its fast, precise and almost silent operation, is suitable for both stills and video.
Part of the "Sigma Global Vision Series Contemporary line, this lens is designed to balance comfort and performance, combining a compact, lightweight design and versatile handling with exceptional optical performance.
The portrait-length prime lens is designed for APS-C format "Nikon Z-mount" mirrorless cameras, and its focal length is equivalent to 84 mm.
The bright maximum aperture of the f/1,4 is great for low light situations, and also allows for better control over depth of field and selective focus effects.
One Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element reduces color fringing and chromatic aberrations for greater sharpness and color accuracy.
Two aspherical elements are used to limit distortion and spherical aberrations, and also help ensure greater overall sharpness and accurate rendering.
The lens elements are coated with a highly multi-layer coating to reduce lens flare and ghosting, and deliver images with high contrast and color neutrality, even in backlit conditions.
The stepping AF motor is useful for both photographers and videographers because it operates quickly, accurately, and almost silently.
The rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh image.
The bayonet mount is made of brass for precision and durability. Additionally, a rubber seal is incorporated into the mount design to make it dust and splash resistant.
