Combining optical design with in-camera corrections to control distortion, this lens features an extremely well-controlled sagittal coma flare that reveals sharp stars from edge to edge. In addition, a new Manual Focus Lock (MFL) switch disables the focus ring, ensuring that focus never shifts, even after hours of shooting in cold, dark skies. The lens has also been designed to accept 82mm front filters, a rarity for an ultra-wide aperture, and another unique feature includes a rear filter holder that accommodates sheet filters for a variety of creative effects.
