A large aperture zoom lens that doesn't need to be removed from the camera. This exceptionally small, light and bright standard zoom for mirrorless system cameras is the ultimate workhorse. The first APS-C sized system camera lens, the SIGMA has a versatile 27-75mm full-frame zoom range, making it ideal for a wide range of photo and video applications, including landscapes, portraits, street photography, architecture and events. It can also be used for close-up macro-style photography, as its maximum magnification is 1:2.8, allowing for a minimum focusing distance of just 12.1cm. Thanks to its bright aperture, it makes handheld shooting in low light easier and provides a shallow depth of field for great results.

ULTRA-FAST AND QUIET AUTOFOCUS

Autofocus is extremely fast and quiet thanks to a stepping motor, which can be particularly useful when shooting video or fast-moving subjects such as children and animals. The lens's extremely small and lightweight design, weighing less than 290g, makes it ideal as a first interchangeable lens and as an additional lens for full-frame bodies, as well as for a variety of shooting situations.

DURABILITY AND QUALITY

To make the lens as light as possible, SIGMA made the body from carefully selected materials. The barrel was constructed using polycarbonate, called a thermally stable composite (TSC), which is sleek, strong, and most importantly, has a thermal conductivity close to aluminum. This ensures stable performance and good control, kai used in varying temperatures. By deliberately using metal kai for some internal structures, parts can be much thinner and have higher rigidity, so the lens can withstand frequent and heavy use.
