Boasting impressive reach in a relatively compact Leica L-mount, the 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS lens from Sigma is a versatile telephoto zoom that combines a handheld design with decent optical performance.

A series of low dispersion glass elements are used to achieve high clarity and color accuracy throughout the zoom range and to suppress chromatic aberrations and color fringing.

The optics are complemented by intuitive operation, with a stepping motor providing fast, near-silent autofocus along with finely tuned manual focus control.

Additionally, four-stop optical image stabilization helps reduce camera shake for sharper handheld shooting, and this 100-400mm is also compatible with the optional TS-111 tripod socket for stable shooting on a tripod or monopod.

Part of Sigma's Global Vision Contemporary line, this lens is designed to balance comfort and performance, combining a compact, lightweight body and versatile handling with notable optical performance.
The telephoto zoom is designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras, but can also work with APS-C models, where it provides a 150-600mm equivalent focal length range.

• One F-type low dispersion (FLD) element and four special low dispersion (SLD) elements significantly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and color accuracy.


• Optical image stabilization compensates for up to four changes in camera shake to produce sharp images when shooting handheld at slower shutter speeds.


• A built-in stepping motor ensures fast and quiet autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm for smoother focusing.


• At the 100mm end of the zoom range, a minimum focusing distance of 3.7 inches is possible, while at 400mm it is 5.2 inches, with a maximum magnification of 1:4.1.


• The built-in AFL button can be programmed to adjust various shooting settings, and the lens also features a focus limiter switch for faster focusing at certain distance ranges. There's a zoom lock switch to prevent the tube from accidentally extending.


• The rounded 9-blade diaphragm ensures a pleasing bokeh quality.


• The brass bayonet ensures greater mounting accuracy and strength, and the mount design includes a rubber seal to make it dust and splash resistant.


• Compatible with the optional TS-111 tripod socket for tripod or monopod operation; the included PT-31 protective cap can be attached to the lens to maintain a seamless look when the tripod socket is not in use.


• Compatible with optional Sigma TC-1411 1.4x and TC-2011 2x teleconverters.


• This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma UD-11 USB dock for fine-tuning various lens characteristics and updating its firmware.
