Featuring an apochromatic (APO) characteristic, chromatic aberration is invisible both in focus and out of focus. This new 100mm lens can cover the full-frame sensor size and focus from 2:1 magnification to infinity. The lens's physical size is similar to other 100mm macro lenses on the market, but the increased magnification range allows macro photographers to capture subjects of any size. This 100mm f/2,8 lens can also focus to infinity and serve as a portrait lens, with exceptional optical quality.

Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2:1 Ultra-Macro is the second 2:1 macro lens we have (the first is 60 mm f/2.8 ). 100mm is one of the most common focal lengths for macro photography. All 100mm macro lenses on the market can only reproduce a 1:1 magnification (life-size) image. The extended magnification of the 2x allows more detail to be seen through the lens. Photographers can now take advantage of a wider magnification range to capture bugs of various sizes.

Laowa 100mm f/2.8 features an Apochromat (APO) design, where chromatic aberration (CA) in BOTH the in-focus and out-of-focus areas (longitudinal CA) is controlled to a minimum.
