MikroTik CRS310-1G-5S-4S+IN is a managed L3 network switch for 1U rack mounting, providing reliable 10 Gigabit optical connectivity over distances of over 100 meters. The device features five 1G SFP ports, four 10G SFP+ ports and one Gigabit Ethernet port, ARM v7 CPU, 256 MB RAM, advanced cooling and Marvell switch chips for high performance. The Gigabit Ethernet port is directly connected to the switch chip and supports PoE-in.

Advantages

The switch provides hardware-assisted VLAN filtering and a portion of the L3 routing hardware, which reduces CPU load and improves throughput in ISP and small office networks. The 1U rackmount and powerful Marvell chips ensure stable operation for optical link aggregation, while PoE-in support and direct gigabit connectivity offer flexible powering and optimal Ethernet speeds.

Suitable

  • For small and medium ISPs deploying 10G optics over 100+ m
  • For small office networks with the need for multi-gigabit uplinks and VLAN segmentation
  • For updating existing CRS212 or similar MikroTik solutions
  • For indoor aggregation and distribution of optical links in a rack

Key specifications

  • Model: MikroTik CRS310-1G-5S-4S+IN
  • Ports: 5 × 1G SFP, 4 × 10G SFP+, 1 × Gigabit Ethernet (PoE-in support)
  • Switch type: Managed L3
  • CPU / RAM: ARM v7 CPU, 256 MB RAM
  • Mounting: 1U rack mountable
  • Standards: IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at (PoE)

How to use

Mount the CRS310 in a 1U rack and connect optical transceivers to the SFP / SFP+ slots according to the required speed and fiber type. Use the Gigabit Ethernet port as a direct switch connection or management interface; if necessary, supply power via PoE-in according to the supported voltage range. Configure VLAN and L3 routing in the MikroTik RouterOS or SwitchOS interface to enable hardware offload functions and improve performance.

Recommended for use

To ensure a stable long-distance 10G optical connection, select compatible SFP/SFP+ modules with the required range and fiber type, regularly update the device firmware, and activate hardware offload capabilities to reduce latency and CPU load.
