D-Link DGS-1008P

The 8-port gigabit PoE wireless desktop switch DGS-1008P allows users in homes and offices to easily connect to Power over Ethernet (PoE) powered devices, such as wireless access points (AP), IP cameras and IP phones, and to connect to seven other Ethernet devices, such as computers, printers and NAS (Network Attached Storage). This compact PoE switch, designed with household and small business users in mind, works quietly, making it ideal for use in virtually every room or office.
Power over Ethernet
DGS-1008P contains 4 ports 10/100/1000BASE-T, which support protocol IEEE 802.3at PoE. Each of the 4 PoE ports can deliver up to 30 watts with a total PoE budget of 68 watts, which allows users to connect devices compatible with IEEE 802.3at to the DGS-1008P without the need for additional power. PoE is suitable especially for devices that are far from electrical outlets, or if you want to minimize cable clutter. If the device is not compatible with PoE, the D-Link DWL-P50 PoE adapter can turn any regular Ethernet port into a PoE Ethernet port.
Excellent performance
No configuration is required and installation is quick and easy. Auto MDI/MDI-X support on all ports eliminates the need for crossed cables when connecting to another switch or router. The Auto-Negotiation function on each port detects the connection speed of the network device (either 10, 100 or 1000) and intelligently adapts compatibility to optimal performance. The switch was designed without fans, so you can operate it quietly wherever you install it. The DGS-1008P also includes diagnostic LEDs that display status and activity, allowing you to quickly detect and repair network problems. Thanks to the filtering of connection speeds, uploading and sending, the DGS-1008P also maximizes network performance while minimizing the transmission of faulty network packets.
