Although the IC-R6 scanner can scan in a very wide frequency range, its receiver provides excellent sensitivity and other receiver characteristics. You will be able to scan amateur radio frequencies, commercial frequencies, AM, FM, shortwave frequencies, TV, and frequencies broadcast by other devices.

100 channels per second high-speed scanning

The IC-R6 scans 100 channels per second at high speed. This is the highest scanning speed with the highest search efficiency over the entire 1300 MHz spectrum.

15 hours of continuous work

The IC-R6 is energy efficient, designed to scan for hours on a single charge. With rechargeable Ni-MH batteries (1400mAh × 2), the IC-R6 can work up to 15 hours continuously.

1300 memory channels with 22 memory banks

With 1300 alphanumeric memory channels, 50 scan lines and 200 automatic channel recording, the IC-R6 gives you the flexibility to work with frequency scanning. Use the "Bank link" function to select or connect any of the 22 memory banks.

VSC (Voice Squelch Control)

VSC only opens when a modulated signal is present and ignores noise. This is a handy feature for those listeners who are looking for chat, news and music rather than data traffic or beacons.

Multiple power options

The IC-R6 can be powered by rechargeable Ni-MH batteries or alkaline batteries. An external power source CP-18A/E can also be used to power the IC-R6.
