Cylinder Head Gasket Leak Tester for Measuring CO2 Content in the Cooling SystemThe tester was created to eliminate suspicion of damage to the cylinder head gasket and the cylinder head itself in liquid-cooled combustion vehicles with petrol, diesel and LPG engines. If the gasket is leaky and CO2 enters the cooling system, the reaction fluid changes colour to yellow or green. The principle of operation of the device is based on the measurement of CO2 concentration - in the case of increased concentration, the reaction fluid reacts with CO2 and changes its colour. The set includes:CO2 reaction fluid 60 ml (sufficient for 30 tests)Conical universal adapterxa025mm-55mmMeasuring tubexa0xa0The black measuring adapter (25mm-55mm) allows you to check 6 times more different coolant filler diameters than in testers with one white adapter. It allows you to check, among others: passenger cars, trucks, tractors, excavators, motorcycles, forklifts. The adapter is made of a special rubber mixture resistant to high temperatures and suitably soft - thanks to which it tightly fits the filler neck and the tester tube, guaranteeing 100% tightness during the test.Test instructions:Fill the device with reaction fluid to the level between the chambers (approx. 2ml).Connect the tester to the opening of the expansion tank or radiator.Start the engine, increase the speed to obtain a higher combustion pressure.Leave the engine at slightly increased speed and observe the reaction fluid's behavior.A change in the color of the reaction fluid to yellow or green within a few minutes of the test indicates a damaged head gasket or damage to the head itself. After completing the tests, carefully dismantle the device.xa0xa0Test results:A change in color fromxa0bluexa0toxa0greenxa0in a diesel engine - indicates damage to the head gasket or the cylinder head itself. Color change fromxa0bluexa0toxa0yellowxa0in a petrol/LPG engine - indicates damage to the cylinder head gasket or the cylinder head itself. Reaction fluidxa0bluexa0- No CO2 detected in the system.Safety information:During the test on the radiator reservoir, it is mandatory to exercise extra caution when unscrewing the cap on a warm engine and during the test itself - risk of scalding!During the test, do not allow the coolant to mix with the reaction fluid - the test may be incorrect!Keep out of reach of children, wash your hands thoroughly after the test!
