Assembled wooden science experiment model - educational STEM set "Newton's Pendulum". The model demonstrates two basic laws of physics: the law of conservation of energy and the law of conservation of momentum. When one ball is pulled back and released, the impact force is transmitted through the other balls until the last one bounces into the air. The constructor is suitable for children and students who want to get acquainted with the basics of physics.
Features:
It's a constructor, a toy and a teaching tool in one. The child assembles the model, immediately tests it and clearly sees the cause-and-effect relationship: the higher the ball is lifted (the more energy), the stronger the last one will bounce.
The toy engages children in an active learning process.
During assembly, the child develops fine motor skills and engineering skills: it is important to assemble all the parts accurately so that the balls hang in one line.
During the experiment, the child consolidates scientific concepts. Terms such as "friction" or "energy loss" become clearer when the child notices that after a while the balls stop due to air resistance and friction of the parts.
The game encourages critical thinking: by experimenting (for example, releasing two marbles at once), the child sees for himself that two also bounce on the other side. This encourages asking the question "why?" and searching for answers.
The parts are cut from light wood and need to be assembled into a frame to hang the balls. The wooden parts are smooth and durable and can be varnished or painted in your child's favorite colors. The stable construction is suitable for educational activities.
Easy assembly: simple and clear instructions allow children to assemble the toy with minimal adult supervision, making the set suitable for both independent work and activities with parents.
STEM (Science + Technology + Engineering + Mathematics) are educational methods that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into a coherent learning model to prepare the younger generation for a world of rapidly evolving technologies.
This is a great choice for a gift, as well as for schools and educational institutions where simple, reliable and clearly functioning educational models are needed.
Operating principle:
This is a tabletop demonstration device in which 5 balls of equal mass are suspended by strings and are closely aligned in a line next to each other. When one ball is pulled back and released, the impact force is transmitted through the other balls until the last one bounces into the air.
Law of Conservation of Energy: Energy does not disappear, it is only transferred from one ball to another. A lifted ball has potential energy, which is converted into kinetic (motion) energy when released.
Law of conservation of momentum: When the first ball hits the line, its momentum "travels" through all the middle balls (which are visually stationary) and is transferred to the last one, causing it to bounce back.
Educational value: law of conservation of energy, law of conservation of momentum.
Purpose: for home learning, classroom learning, project activities.
