| Additional information | Cascadia is a puzzle-like board game featuring habitats and wildlife from the Pacific Northwest of America. In the game, you take turns building your own area and populating it with wildlife. You start with three hexagonal habitat tiles (there are five types of tiles in the game) and as you turn, you select a new tile that is associated with a corresponding tile, then place it next to the existing tiles and then place a wildlife tile on top of the corresponding tile. |

There are four boards on the table and each of them is associated with a random wildlife token, so you will have to work with what you have, unless you have a free wildlife token, which will give you free choice. Ideally, you will place boards and create connected terrain that will not be fragmented and create wildlife corridors, as you score points for the largest area of each type of habitat at the end of the game, with a bonus if yours is larger than your opponent's. At the same time, you will want to place wildlife tokens in a way that maximizes the number of points you get from them, which is determined randomly, three cards, for each type of wildlife. Perhaps hawks want to live separately from other hawks, while foxes want to be surrounded by many other animals and bears want to live in pairs. Can you make it work? |
