Compact wide angle lens

XF23mmF2 R WR is a wide-angle lens with advanced image resolution that can extract the full performance of Fujifilm's proprietary X-Trans CMOS sensor. It shares a similar size and design to the existing XF35mmF2 R WR, making it a stylish collection of compact lenses. The internal focus AF system uses a stepper motor*1 to control the focus group of lens elements for quiet and fast autofocus.
The metal exterior provides a premium and solid feel, while the aperture ring and focus ring have been designed for optimal performance. The lens is also weatherproof and dustproof and works down to -10°C, making it an ideal choice for outdoor shooting.

Advanced picture quality

The lens consists of ten elements in six groups, including two aspherical elements. The optimal position of the aspherical elements ensures the flatness of the image plane and sharpness from edge to edge. Aspherical elements are used as part of the focus group to reduce variations in efficiency between different focal lengths.

Fast and silent autofocus

The internal focus AF system*3 uses a stepping motor that controls the lightweight focus elements for quiet and fast autofocus. Combined with the FUJIFILM X-Pro2 and X-T2's phase detection AF system, the lens can focus in an astonishing 0.05 seconds*.

Weatherproof and dustproof, can operate down to -10°C

The lens barrel is sealed for weather and dust resistance and can operate as low as -10°C. By attaching the weatherproof and dustproof mirrorless digital cameras to the FUJIFILM X-Pro2, X-T1 and X-T2, you can take pictures with peace of mind in the rain or in dusty environments.

Optional Accessories

This lens can be used with the vented metal hood LH-XF35-2, which is also compatible with the XF35mmF2 R WR. A silver version of the lens hood will also be released at the same time as the XF23mmF2 R WR, allowing users to choose an additional hood to match the color of the lens.
