FUJIFILM FUJINON XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR
Photography is a compromise. Typically, a zoom lens focuses more on comfort and quality. This lens has been designed with no compromises, resulting in image quality comparable to that of a prime lens.
No Compromise
This lens manages to achieve the perfect balance of sharpness with smooth bokeh. It delivers true-to-life colors never before seen in a zoom lens.
A professional high-aperture zoom lens must produce stunning images, and the XF16-55mm uses a nine-blade aperture to reduce spherical aberration.
The lens is made of 17 elements divided into 12 groups, including three aspherical elements to reduce any distortion and spherical aberrations. To maintain edge-to-edge sharpness throughout the zoom range, three ultra-low dispersion elements are also used to help control chromatic aberrations.
Control the light
FUJIFILM's proprietary multi-layer coating HT-EBC (High Transmittance Electron Beam Coating) is used to control shadows and flare. Nano GI coating is also used to reduce ghosting and flare from light coming from oblique angles.
Cover every corner
To replicate the focal range of this zoom lens, you will need to carry four XF prime lenses. However, with the XF16-55mmF2.8, you can fine-tune your composition every mm from 16mm to 55mm. This convenience while maintaining amazing image quality gives you an added advantage over carrying four prime lenses.
Capture every detail
TheAF system is based on a high-speed linear motor that can focus as fast as 0.02 seconds*. It's impossible to know when something dramatic will happen, but you want to be prepared when it does. This lens reacts as fast as you do.
Ready for all environments
Any professional walking around the lens needs to be prepared to shoot in all conditions, especially inclement weather. The dust and moisture resistant lens design allows you to immerse yourself in photography in any weather.*
