Olympus is pleased to introduce the world's first macro flash, with a lightweight and compact design that is dust, splash and freezeproof (-10°C), making it ideal for any environment - whether it's a rainforest or a desert.
The STF-8 supports flash photography when used with cameras that have focus stacking and continuous focus modes. This function is particularly useful for shooting flowers, insects and commercial studio photography.
The supplied adapter ring is compatible with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm 1:3.5 Macro, M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm 1:2.8 Macro and M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm 1:2.8 PRO lenses.
This compact macro flash offers versatile and creative lighting options by allowing you to control the output ratio of each individual or dual flash head. When both dual flash heads are used, the guide number is 8.5, and when only one is used, it is 6. In addition to TTL auto sync mode, you can also set the flash in 1/3-stop increments and 1-stop increments using the flash control dial when using the camera in manual mode. The master flash can also control multiple flash units.
