In most car models, voltage in the cigarette lighter socket appears when the vehicle ignition is turned on and disappears when it is turned off. The recorder will automatically turn on and off depending on the ignition status. When the power is turned off, the recorder stops working and it will not be possible to use the parking mode. In order for the recorder to automatically switch from driving mode to parking mode (and vice versa), you must use a 3-wire power cable with an ACC cable, which is standardly supplied with each FineVu recorder model, or use an optional cable to power the recorder from the diagnostic socket OBD-II vehicle.
