This graduated filter attenuates light, creating a rather dramatic effect in photos. Due to the increased contrast, it is even more important that the horizon line is not placed too far from the center of the image. The filter has a Multi-Coated Coating (MRC), which is harder than glass, so it protects the filters from scratches (e.g. when cleaning filters), and is also water and dirt resistant.
This filter uses the standard B+W rotating F-Pro filter mount, which has a front accessory thread and is made of brass.
