Excursion SX-2S Excursion car tweeters, featuring 20mm dome cones made of pure natural silk, are virtually unrivaled in this price range. These speakers are characterized by high efficiency and a naturally balanced and detailed sound in the upper range. During the design process, great attention was paid to the accompanying hardware to ensure these speakers' high potential was not wasted. From selecting optimal connectors, through high-quality oxygen-free copper (OFC) speaker cables, to the smallest possible, yet cost-effective passive crossovers equipped with high-quality MKP audio capacitors mounted on printed circuit boards with solid copper traces, these small passive high-pass filters (HPFs) are the perfect solution, free from all the unnecessary ballast of accessories and gadgets that only burden the sound and the budget. The crossovers allow for very convenient and easy installation, flexible polarity selection, and signal level reduction from 2 to 10 dB when used with optional Excursion XLR resistive attenuators. The kit also includes mounting enclosures for individual speaker orientation and a wide range of sound propagation angle adjustments.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• ATTENTION !The tweeters come with two first-order passive crossovers (high-pass filter - High Pass 6 dB/oct.), which should be connected in series to the speaker cables. These crossovers are essential for proper speaker operation. They also protect the speakers from damage caused by audio signals at too low frequencies. Operating the tweeters without properly connected crossovers can result in permanent speaker damage (burnout of the speaker voice coil). Such damage is not covered by the warranty.
• Depending on the mounting location and tweeter orientation, as well as the distance between the speakers and the listener, in some cases, changing the polarity of the tweeter wires (swapping the tweeter wires) may be helpful to achieve better sound. This is to more accurately equalize the frequency-phase response around the crossover point, if this point would create an unfavorable boost in this part of the audio spectrum, which most often manifests itself as a stronger emphasis on the upper midrange.
