CCS2 to Tesla (USA) adapter - general information

The CCS2 to Tesla (USA) adapter is a special connector that allows Tesla electric vehicles intended for the US market to connect to the CCS2 (Combined Charging System 2) DC

fast charging stations in Europe. Since Tesla cars from the US market use the North American Charging Standard (NACS, previously called the Tesla connector),

they require an adapter to use the European CCS2 charging infrastructure.

What is the CCS2 to Tesla (USA) adapter used for?

Allows US Tesla models to charge at European fast charging stations (e.g. Ionity, Fastned, Allego, EnBW, Shell Recharge, etc.) that use the CCS2 connector.

Essential for US Tesla owners who have imported an electric car to Europe, as it is impossible to use public CCS2 fast charging stations without this adapter.

Used for DC fast charging, but kai some adapters can also support AC charging.

Tesla can be used on Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y from the US market, but kai which models may require additional software modifications.
