CTK WaveFix 35 is a self-adhesive, very flexible, very soft and delicate to the touch sound-absorbing mat based on specialist polyurethane "with memory", impregnated with a sound-absorbing preparation. It is characterized by a very high ability to disperse and absorb sound (noise) in the range of medium and high frequencies (noise, swish) and good thermal insulation properties. The sound-absorbing impregnation additionally improves acoustic properties, protects against the absorption of moisture from the air, the development of microorganisms, molds and bacteria, and protects the base material against aging. CTK WaveFix 35 foams have a porous structure with a combination of semi-open and partially closed cells of high density, various dimensions and irregular shapes. Closed cells isolate/block noise and heat well, and open cells effectively absorb sound inside their irregular structure. Thanks to this, WaveFix 35 foam mats work simultaneously in two different areas, as they have key properties that characterize both sound-absorbing and noise-insulating materials. The "wave" profiling additionally increases the active sound-absorbing surface, as a result of which sound absorption is much higher compared to standard materials with a flat surface. The foam is also characterized by the so-called "shape memory effect", i.e. it has the property of slowly returning to its original form after strong compression. Expanding slowly with little force, it more precisely fills the gaps and free space between two adjacent panels, bodywork or upholstery elements of the car, without the risk of deformation and pushing them out of the snap-in fasteners. Thanks to their very soft and flexible structure, CTK WaveFix 35 soundproofing mats are very easy to install on flat and irregular surfaces, even those with a very complex shape. They are designed for use inside the vehicle cabin, primarily behind plastic panels, upholstery elements, headliner, dashboard, as well as in the boot, on the surfaces of wheel arches and fenders, as a very effective material absorbing road noise. CTK WaveFix 35 mats provide several times higher sound absorption than other standard soundproofing materials of similar thickness. They work most effectively in a wide range of frequencies above 500 Hz, but noise reduction starts from about 100 Hz. This means that if the goal is to really effectively and clearly feel the soundproofing of the interior of the car cabin, this material is absolutely mandatory in every professional soundproofing installation. Thanks to its very mild elasticity and ability to slowly adapt to the shape of the gaps and free space between two elements, CTK WaveFix 35 sound-absorbing foams also work perfectly as a material reducing cracks, creaks and resonances of plastic panels of the cabin and car upholstery (e.g. door panels, headliner, cockpit, center tunnel console, pillars, boot lid upholstery, etc.), acting as a soft, shock-absorbing and sound-absorbing spacer between two vibrating surfaces, e.g. between the door panel and the inner door panel. This material can also be used to reduce the rattling of electrical harnesses and connectors, as well as to silence industrial equipment, machines and rooms and to soundproof the interior of loudspeakers and subwoofer enclosures. When installing on metal parts of the car body (e.g. roof, sides and boot wheel arches), CTK WaveFix 35 foam mats should be installed as the last acoustic layer (second or third) on a substrate that has first been damped with an anti-resonant aluminum-butyl mat and possibly additionally isolated with thermo-acoustic foam.
