Be prepared for anything. Ultra-short 0.1-0.9 sec.1charging time means that up to 170 shots can be taken with full flash power in burst mode2and use the high-speed burst shooting function at a low power level.

Power when you need it most

Equipped with a high-capacity LP-EL battery, the EL-1 enables extremely fast shooting in both continuous and single shots. Up to 2,345 shots can be taken with flash on a single charge. Accurate battery level indicator3indicates when the power supply needs to be recharged or replaced.

Even in a tense situation, you can rest easy with the EL-1. Its power factor reaches 60 m4, the flash is also dust and waterproof like our L-series lenses. An active cooling system prevents overheating, so you can shoot for longer.

Light your subject from anywhere in the scene by controlling the EL-1 wirelessly with a radio or optical controller. Use multiple Speedlights together (as individual elements or in a group) to create particularly original lighting.

More creative lighting

The built-in two-color LED modeling lamp allows you to preview where and how the EL-1 flash will fall and where shadows will appear. Manual flash control allows you to select the desired power level from full power to 1/8192 power5.
