Fixed aperture The large f/2.8 aperture ensures excellent results in low-light situations. The aperture remains constant throughout the focal length range, allowing you to zoom in from approximately 27-88x0mm (35mm equivalent) without slowing down the shutter speed.

Image stabilizer The EF-S 17–55xa0mm f/2.8 IS USM features Canon’s 3-stop Image Stabilizer (IS).
